Volcano National Park

The crew was so excited for the trip.

Crater in middle ground and smoking crater in background.

The "person in scenery" shot.

All lava. You wouldn't think it but lava can be very brittle. It broke beneath our feet as we walked.

This cute couple asked to have their pic taken with us.

Rain forest.

This pic is for my pops. He loves greenery.

"Hiking" to a lava tube.

Lava used to flow through this tube, now the tourists do.

It was cold and wet in that tube.

From the tube to the crater.

Smoking crater.

The shuttle driver's voice was calm over the p.a. system.

Today we did the Volcano National Park thing. It was ok, I guess. I think I was expecting more hiking and less shuttling.

Random

Here Brett holds his fruit inappropriately while in Jeff's doorway.

Saw this movie last night. Cute.

Oh yeah, I'm in this poster now.

Almost 2 years of this. :)

See that little white orb out there on the horizon? Yeah, that's a newly built missile tracker. Bring it North Korea! No, don't.

I took this pic of a couple on the cruise. Lauren and I in the future?

Pictures of minors who tried to buy alcohol. Ha!

I love this shirt. I didn't buy it.

Eddie Vedder is playing here July 1st! Is he still a big deal?

We visited Shannon Winpenny today. She is co-owner and Artistic Director of Laughtrack Theater Company in Honolulu. It's a fantastic improv club just a few blocks from where the ship docks.

Hopefully we'll be doing some teaching there soon! And hopefully hopefully we can perform there too!

What's doing

Brett and I after some tennis in Honolulu.

Yeah!

These kids are rad.

Where we play tennis in Maui.

It was super hot.

The sun is BEATING DOWN!

Post-game Jamba Juice.

Spam board shorts. Good grief.

I bought a zipper tie for eight bucks! It's kind of like a clip-on in the sense that you never have to tie it but it tightens and loosens with a zipper mechanism. Cheesy? Totally. Awesome? Totally. No, I will not wear it with this shirt.

Brett, Jeannie, and I went to sushi on the ship the other night. It's pretty good for ship sushi. Ship sushi, ship sushi, ship sushi.

Brett tried avocado (on purpose) for the first time! His review, tastes like nothing.

Another compilation of various photos and events. I haven't been on any big excursions lately. Next week we are visiting a volcano national park! Should have some great photos.

This and That II

Last week I took surf lessons for the first time at this cute place in Kauai.

This is where I surfed. I went back this week and surfed on my own. Sea turtles surf with you!!

Crazy headline.

We saw The Hangover. I haven't laughed that hard at a movie in a while.

We had dinner in Lahaina, Maui at a restaurant that serves pizza rolls like sushi rolls.

Here's my roll.

They were good. I think they'd be great for sports parties with pitchers of beer!

Just hanging out.

Yay!!!

I got a haircut. I wanted to go EXTREME!!!

I ended up with this. A normal boy's haircut.

I got my first massage!! It was a full-body Swedish and it lasted 75 minutes!!! It was wonderful.

Jeannie and I at a mic check.

We saw Land of the Lost. It was terrible. We all knew it would be.

I had some fun firsts these last couple of weeks. First surf lesson, first pizza sushi, first time being 6 months smoke-free in 11years, and my first massage!!

Twin Falls II

The rental. Super ugly. Super inexpensive.

Brett and I both made an important purchase at Sports Authority.

Heading in...

Reminds me of scenery from my favorite movie "Stand By Me".

Putting the shoes to the test.

Demonstrating that I am in no pain while walking on sharp slippery rocks.

Loving the shoes!!

Ahh yeaahh!

Rope swings are always a bonus at any waterfall site.

In a tree root cave. <--- I made that up.

Nature's footsteps.

Brett and I picked up three old hitchhikers. Hitchhiking is very common on the islands. So is riding in the back of pick-up trucks and public drinking. I was trying to snap a pic of the hitchhikers with my phone over my shoulder. This was the best shot. Can you imagine if we went missing and my phone was found and this was the only pic the police had of our abductors? Man, that would be crazy.

Alive!!

Brett and I went back to Twin Falls in Maui today. We've been there before so it was nice to know how to get to the waterfalls. We did some hiking, some jumping (off cliffs), and some swimming. Oh and we did some "pick up three old hitchhikers(ing)" too! Fun day.
