Me and a bag of chips. No biggie.
I went for a run in Hilo today and I came to this spot where I was last week. As a matter of fact I posted pictures last week of this spot. The difference though is that there no longer is a shaky little log for me to walk across. I thought, "i'll just jump", but it wasn't going to be that easy. It had rained in the morning which made the water higher and also made my jumping off point and landing target soaking and muddy. I started to get a little freaked out so I began to look around to see if there was another way. Then I saw a log in the distance, I ran over to it (in the mud) and brought it to the water. I was trying to eye measure the length of the log to see if it would make it across the water. I gave it a toss and it fell directly into the water and was swept out into the ocean. Now I was mad. I was like, "I'm doing this, I don't care if I fall in ." I took two long steps back and then sped forward like a long jumper and leaped over the water safely to the other side!
Proof of my being on the other side.
The log is up against those big rocks.

This guy is using these giagantic binoculars to look at this...
